Ketchikan Alaska
Ketchikan is a main port for the Alaska Marine Highway since there
is a repair & maintenance facility for the vessels located in
Ketchkan. So when you are sailing the Inside Passage, you will
notice that Ketchikan almost always has a longer layover period.Ketchikan
is also known as Alaska’s “first city” due to its location at the
southern tip of the Inside Passage – it is the first city you reach
as you cruise north out of Bellingham, and for many visitors, their
first introduction to the beauty and majesty of Alaska.
